Over 1,000 police officers join blood donation day
A blood donation day was held on November 27 by the People’s Police College 1 in coordination with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) and the 198 Hospital under the Ministry of Public Security.
The blood donation drive, which drew the participation of some 1,000 police officers and students of the People’s Police College 1, collected 800 blood units.
Earlier in April, some 1,500 police officers and students of the school also participated in a blood donation drive and some 1,200 blood units were collected.
Blood donation is a social meaningful activity as it helps save lives of patients at hospital amid the pandemic.
All people present at the blood donation site on November 27 strictly followed the 5k regulations, contributing to prevention and combat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
