People's Public Security Political Academy celebrates 10th anniversary of establishment
PSNews - The People's Public Security Political Academy solemnly celebrated the 10th anniversary of its establishment and received the Third Class "Fatherland Protection" Medal, on the afternoon of April 24th, 2024.
Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To Assoc. Prof., Dr., attended and delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony.
In 2014, the People's Public Security Academy of Politics was established under Decision No. 315 of the Prime Minister, meeting the requirement for training public security officers in forces building, Party building and political science.
Over the past 10 years, the academy has trained 2,731 undergraduate and graduate students in various majors, while organizing refresher courses on leadership, defense-security knowledge and professional seminars for 6,500 public security officers.
The academy has also promoted cooperation with international partners to receive new knowledge and working experience, contributing to the development of the academy.
Notably, the academy has coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security of Laos in drafting a project to establish the Lao Public Security Political Academy, as well as trained Lao officers at the academy, contributing to strengthening the traditional solidarity and friendship between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos.
On behalf of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the academy for its outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the Public Security Forces’ education and training over the past 10 years.
Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked the academy’s leaders and teaching staff to further promote international cooperation, actively learn experience and knowledge from international partners to perfect its training programs, contributing to improving the academy’s quality of education and training.
