Police deny any strategic surprise in Dak Lak, requested Minister To Lam
Minister of Public Security General To Lam leading a MPS delegation worked with leaders of the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department, two prisons in the province and the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) Mobile Police Regiment on July 1.
The delegation was joined by Chief of the MPS Office Lieutenant General To An Xo, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Tan, Deputy Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Canh as well as representatives from agencies under the MPS.
At the meeting, Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department Major General Le Vinh Quy briefed the delegates on the local police’s task performance in the first half, saying that the local police forces seriously implemented resolutions of higher-level authorities and successfully completed their first half work plan.
Speaking at the meeting, General To Lam praised the local police for grasping the security situation and maintaining political stability in the province. He requested the local police to further realize Resolution 12-NQ/TW issued by the Politburo on March 12, 2022, thoroughly grasp the security situation as well as deny any strategic surprise and avoid being put in a disadvantage while expanding the “All people protecting national security” movement and controlling offences in the province.
On the same day, Minister To Lam and the delegation visited two prisons based in the province. At the meetings with corrections officers at each prison, General Lam asked them to correctly implement the State’s policies toward inmates and re-educate inmates to be good citizens when they are released.
After that, General To Lam visited the Tay Nguyen Mobile Police Regiment. At the meeting with officers and soldiers of the regiment, General To Lam praised their achievements in the past time, saying that the regiment had contributed significantly to creating a favorable condition for the province to develop over the past time.
General To Lam stressed that the unit leadership should focus on Party building and force building as well as actively participate in ensuring public order and security in Central Highland provinces.
