Project 06 Working Group resumes meeting

Standing Deputy of the Project 06 Working Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc chaired the meeting of the Project 06 Working Group, on May 31, 2023, in Hanoi.

Authorized by Minister of Public Security General To Lam, who is also the Head of the Working Group for the Project on Enhancing the Application of Population, Electronic Identification and Authentication Data for National Digital Transformation in the period of 2022-2025 with a vision toward 2030 (Project 06), Standing Deputy of the Project 06 Working Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc chaired the meeting of the Project 06 Working Group, on May 31, 2023, in Hanoi.

The summary report at the meeting stated that, in May 2023, Project 06 continued to be effectively implemented.

Currently, the Ministry of Public Security is coordinating with five banks (BIDV, Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Pvcombank, VIBank) to pilot a solution to identify and authenticate customers online via the VNeID application so as to gradually provide the citizen information authentication service for banking industry. 

In addition, the citizen’s e-identification account also includes other digital tools such as public digital signatures, subscriber sims, e-wallets, e-contracts, contributing to completing the digital citizen ecosystem according to the Government’s Decree 50.

During the meeting, delegates reported on the results of their units’ implementation of Project 06, and proposed plans to create favorable conditions for ministries, branches and localities to continue effectively implementing the tasks of Project 06.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc suggested that all members of the Working Group focus on resolving 11 problems raised at the meeting as quickly as possible in order to better facilitate administrative procedure reforms and socio-economic development.
