Public security socio-political organizations review task performances
Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired a meeting on September 24 with socio-political organizations of the People's Public Security Forces to review their task performance over the past nine months.
Over the past time, the Public Security Youth Union, the Public Security Women's Union and the Public Security Trade Union have strictly followed the directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, and effectively implemented their working plans, especially political and ideological education, education of fine traditions of the forces, education of morality and civilized lifestyle for their members.
The socio-political organizations also paid attention to training their outstanding members to become Party members.
Meanwhile, the public security organizations also actively spread outstanding individuals and teams as well as their social activities on both official and social media, creating a far-reaching influence in the society.
The unions also encouraged their members to work on the frontline of the fight against COVID-19. Particularly, 130 female doctors and nurses volunteered to go to Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City to support local efforts to fight against the pandemic while 6,000 young officers and soldiers at under-ministerial agencies registered to go to work in COVID-19 hit localities.
Since the beginning of the year, the Public Security Trade Union has visited and gave more than 5,000 gifts to its cadres and members, working with the Public Security Forces, who have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Public Security Women's Union has launched various emulation movements and set up clubs for women's comprehensive development as well as for happy and sustainable family.
In short, mass organizations of the Public Security Forces have carried out many social activities for the community while contributing largely to boosting socio-economic development, and ensuring security and order in border and remote areas home to ethnic minorities.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked the public security socio-political organizations to further uphold their roles and responsibility in performing their tasks.
He requested the Department of Party and Political Work under the Ministry of Public Security to spread the important position of every socio-political organization and follow guidelines and directions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Public Security Party Committee, and the Ministry of Public Security on mass organization development and mass mobilization work.
The public security socio-political organizations should further disseminate good examples of public security youths, women and trade union members in ensuring security and order as well as in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, thus contributing to beautifying the image of the brave and humane public security officers in serving the people, Deputy Minister To stressed.
The Deputy Minister also asked the Public Security Women's Union to make good preparations for the 9th Women's Congress of the Ministry of Public Security (2021-2026 term) while the Public Security Youth Union should guide their chapters to prepare for the youth congresses at all levels (2022-2027 term).
