Public Security units honored for outstanding achievements
In the framework of the 77th National Public Security Conference, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on December 29 reviewed the “National Security Protection” movement in 2021 and launched the 2022 “National Security Protection” movement.
General To Lam, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.
As 2021 saw a number of significant events, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) deployed maximum forces and means to protect the 13th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Council at all levels in the 2021-2026 tenure.
The MPS successfully completed and put in operation the national population database project and the chip-based ID card project, while the Public Security Forces played an important role in preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, and protected national security, maintained social order and safety.
For their great achievements, the Prime Minister presented the “Excellent Unit in Emulation Movement in 2021” Flag to 31 units under the MPS, while the Minister of Public Security rewarded 69 units the “Leading Unit in Emulation Movement in 2021” Flags.
Under the authorities of the Prime Minister, Minister To Lam, Deputy Ministers of Public Security Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Major General Le Quoc Hung presented the emulation flags to the outstanding units.
