Son La police play core role in protecting security, fighting pandemic

Reports read that, under the leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the provincial government, the police force in Son La province has completed and exceeded their work targets set for 2021, effectively contributing to socio-economic development and foreign relations in the locality.
The clearance rate of criminal cases reached 96.5%, including all serious cases cleared.
Additionally, the local police force synchronously implemented measures to curb crime; as a result, the social order crime rate reduced 10.27% while traffic accidents were controlled in terms of number and casualty.
Amidst the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the provincial police quickly adapted to the new normal state while effectively performing the dual tasks of fighting the pandemic and protecting security in the province. The provincial police also posted commissioned police officers to all communes in Son La under the direction of the MPS.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the work results of the Son La police in 2021.
Deputy Minister Quang asked the Son La provincial police in the coming time to proactively advise local Party committees and authorities on plans to prevent and promptly handle emerging issues right at the grassroots level.
The Deputy Minister requested the police forces in Son La to have long-term strategies to firmly protect security in the province and effectively deal with non-traditional security threats.
*On this occasion, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang and Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia, Chairman of the Hung Yen People's Committee Tran Quoc Van granted VND 25 billion to the construction and repair of houses for poor families in Van Ho district, Son La province, and 10 billion VND to the construction of a school in Muong Cai commune, Song Ma district.
The money had been donated by the authorities, people, and enterprises of Hung Yen province as well as officers and soldiers of the Public Security Forces.
