Vietnam ready to kick off ASEAN Plus 2022 Police Music Festival
PSNews – The Department for Party and Political Work and the Mobile Police High Command in July held a press conference on the ASEAN Plus 2022 Police Music Festival.
According to Major General Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police High Command, the ASEAN Plus 2022 Police Music Festival is a cultural and music exchange event among regional police forces, contributing to strengthening mutual understanding of national identities among regional nations.
The event will also help promote the Vietnam People's Police Force in particular and the forces of other ASEAN countries in general.
The festival is also an opportunity to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam, as well as the beautiful image of the Vietnamese police officer who wholeheartedly serves the people.
Through the event, international partners will learn more about the glorious tradition of the People’s Police Force of Vietnam during its 60 years of development under the leadership of the Party and State and its position in current international cooperation and integration process.
It is also a chance for the People’s Public Security Forces of Vietnam to introduce international friends its plan to build pure, strong, regular, elite and modernized Public Security Forces.
The festival, themed “Praising the love for the homeland of Vietnam and the good tradition of the Public Security Forces and Police Forces of Vietnam and ASEAN+ countries 2022”, attracts eight police musical groups with 200 officers and artists from China, Japan, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Brunei and Vietnam.
Vietnam has 2 musical groups participating in the festival with 238 officers, including the Vietnam Police Musical Group with 127 officers and the Vietnam People’s Army Musical Troupe with 110 officers.
The festival will take place on July 9-10 on pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi capital. The marching and parade programs will take place from 8pm to 10pm on July 9 and will be broadcasted live on ANTV (Public Security Forces) channel.
The concert program will take place on the evening of July 10 and will broadcasted live on VTV1 channel and ANTV channel.
According to People’s Artist Major General Nguyen Cong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department for Party and Political Work, the organizing board is ready for the music festival. He said, the organizing board has reserved three days (July 6-8) for foreign participating musical groups to rehearse their performances in Hanoi.
The organizing board also arrange medical stall to support artists, officers and people. Fresh water is provided free of charge to people and visitors who attending the festival.
