Vietnamese police building stations for Lao police in border villages
The Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department (Vietnam) in coordination with the Hua Phan Provincial Police Department (Laos) held a groundbreaking ceremony for police stations in border villages of Hua Phan province, on November 26.
According to the agreement between the two countries, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security invests in building headquarters for the Lao police in villages bordering Vietnam.
The Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department has been assigned to build 32 police stations for police forces of the Hua Phan Provincial Police Department (Laos).
The project is of important meaning, affirming the traditional close friendship, special unity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between the police forces of Thanh Hoa and their counterparts of Hua Phan in particular.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, a representative of the Hua Phan Provincial Police Department highlighted the great assistance of the Vietnamese police, particularly Thanh Hoa police, saying that the support is very meaningful, and it demonstrate the solidarity and close ties between the police forces of the two countries and two provinces.
He said that the project to build stations for Lao police will create favorable working conditions for police officers and soldiers of Hua Phan, helping them well perform their tasks of ensuring security and fighting against crimes as well as maintain the peaceful life of Lao people in border areas.
