This cooperation program is within the framework of the UN Women - Peace – Security (WPS) Agenda in Vietnam funded by the Government of Canada.

The event saw the presence of Senior Colonel Ngo Hoai Thu, President of the Public Security Women's Union (PSWU); Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam Shawn Perry Steil; Ms. Elisa Fernandez Saenz, Country Representative of UN Women in Vietnam.

The event, which was the first international workshop on Vietnamese female police leaders, created opportunities for delegates to discuss the WPS Agenda as well as gender-based security challenges affecting women and girls, including safe cyberspace, child abuse and human trafficking.

Over the past time, the PSWU has played its key role in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women while promoting gender equality through various meaningful projects.

Female police officers also strive to build a strong women’s union chapter, successfully fulfil their assigned tasks and build a happy family.
