Exhibition on Hoang Sa, Truong Sa helps raise public awareness

The Quang Tri Provincial Department of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People’s Committee of Cam Lo district kicked off an exhibition on Hoang Sa, Truong Sa on March 19.
The exhibition introduces to the public solid evidences of Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos mentioned above through precious documents such as ancient bibliographies, manuscripts of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Among the exhibits are records of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), maps by Vietnam and western nations, documents in Vietnamese and French, and Atlas proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over the archipelagoes.
The exhibition contributes to affirming that Vietnam has established sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagoes very early by the path of peace, which was approved by Vietnamese feudal dynasties, modern Vietnamese states.
Director of the Department of Information and Communications Nguyen Van Tuong said the exhibition helps raise public awareness of the country’s sacred sovereignty over its seas and islands.
