Two dead, one missing due to floods in Hoang Lien forests

PSNews-At about 1 pm of August 12, heavy rains caused floods in the area of Da Thang hamlet, Ta Van commune, Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province, causing two deaths, one missing.

All the three victims, namely Tan A Sinh (28), Tan A Sình (36) and Tan A Phong (24), all are Hmong people, residents of Su Pan village, Ta Van commune, Sa Pa district.
Receiving information, the authorities of Sa Pa district mobilized local forces to coordinate with the Hoang Lien National Park in searching the victims.
The bodies of the two victims were found on August 13. Functional forces are looking for the missing victim.
The local authorities already returned the remains of the victims to their families and offered financial support for the funerals.
