Department of Criminal Police reviews task performance in first half of 2020
The Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting on July 7 to review its task performance in the first half of 2020 and roll out its working plan for the second half.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered keynote speech at the event.
Over the past 6 months, the Department has advised the MPS leadership on solutions to major issues, and proactively took various measures to effectively prevent and fight crimes.
As a result, the number of criminal cases reduced 8.4% while the rate of the successful investigation of the criminal cases reached 84.4%. During the first half, over 1,000 criminal gangs were destroyed, and black credit networks were stamped out.
The department and the criminal police sections in localities nationwide successfully investigated various serious cases and arrested many dangerous criminals.
For their outstanding achievements, the Department and criminal police officers have been presented by the Government and the MPS with various titles and certificates of merit over the past six months.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong appreciated the efforts and achievements gained by the entire Criminal Police Force in the first 6 months of 2020.
Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong also explained Dispatch 777 issued by the Minister of Public Security to the delegates at the meeting. The dispatch requires all police units to launch a two-month campaign to suppress crimes, starting from July 15.
