Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc works with Nghe An police
Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc and his entourage had a meeting with leaders of the Nghe An provincial police on December 24.
According to reports at the meeting, over the past time, the Nghe An provincial police successfully investigated large-scaled criminal cases and eliminated many organized "black credit" gangs, hi-tech crime networks, gambling rings, theft groups, and scam cliques.
The provincial police also prosecuted a number of officials and people for corruption, economic crimes, violations of natural resource and wildlife exploitation, and smuggling.
In terms of drug-related crimes, the police of Nghe An destroyed many drug trafficking rings and eradicated complex drug dens.
Regarding the public administrative reform, the Nghe An Provincial Police Department was ranked first among all public security agencies and units by the Ministry of Public Security. The Nghe An police have secured the ranking for six consecutive years.
Apart from their main mission, the Nghe An provincial police joined efforts with the local political system and people to drastically and effectively prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc spoke highly of the achievements obtained by the Nghe An provincial police over the past time.
He requested the provincial police always grasp the security situation at the grassroots level and take countermeasures against crimes of all kinds.
Meanwhile, the local police should enhance the management and use of the information technology system and the national population database to provide personal identification numbers to local people, creating favorable conditions for them to make civil transactions on digital platforms.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc presented his letter praising a team of Nghe An police for their successful investigation of an inter-provincial black credit ring worth VND 1,000 billion. In the case, the police arrested 52 related people.
