The fire police force also expanded the dissemination of fire safety regulations while developing the "Fire alarm-114" mobile app, which has served as a channel for people to report fires and for the police to popularize fire prevention skills and laws to citizens.

The PDFR and the fire police force also organized training courses to equip all commune-level police officers nationwide with knowledge of fire prevention and fighting.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long lauded the efforts of the PDFR and the fire-rescue police force over the past time.

The Deputy Minister showed his consensus on the work plan of the PDFR and emphasized that fire prevention is a particularly important task as it can protect the life, health and assets of people and businesses. The PDFR should work out long-term strategic plans to enhance fire safety and improve fire prevention and fighting capabilities, the MPS leaders added.

Deputy Minister Long also asked the PDFR to research and develop specific applications on fire prevention and fighting and regularly update the fire database. The department should also promote digital transformation in fire prevention and fighting, the Deputy Minister stressed.
