High-ranking delegation of Ho Chi Minh City police visits Laos
A delegation of the Municipal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City, led by its Director Major General Le Hong Nam, visited Laos from October 6 to 10. During the visit, the delegation worked with the Vientiane Capital Police Department.
At the working session, leaders of the two Municipal Police Departments discussed security and order situations over the past time as well as orientations for bilateral cooperation in the coming time.
They also exchanged experience in ensuring political security and social order and safety.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City police delegation presented the Vientiane Capital Police Department with fire equipment and protective clothing, worth 500 million VND, and 10,000 USD.
–During the visit, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Deputy Minister of Lao Ministry of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Kongthong Phongvichit hosted a meeting with the Vietnamese police delegation.
At the meeting, the host thanked the Vietnamese police delegation for the presents for the Vientiane police, expressed his belief that the cooperation between the public security forces of the two countries will continuously thrive in the coming time, contributing to strengthening the Vietnam – Laos traditional friendship and helping each other fulfill all missions tasked by the Party and State of each country.
For his part, Major General Le Hong Nam thanked the host for the warm welcome, and invited leaders of the Vientiane Capital Police Department to visit to Vietnam and HCM city.
Within the framework of the working trip, the Vietnamese police delegation also visited Vietnam’s Embassy in Vientiane and had a meeting with Vietnamese nationals in Laos.
