Minister To Lam stresses role of great national unity in making country better

The event saw the presence of representatives from central, ministries, local authorities, public security units, religious organizations, businesses, as well as local people.
Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam stressed that the event aimed to consolidate and promote the people's mastership as well as strengthen the great national unity bloc and enhance the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period.
Minister To Lam stated, there are still worries and anxieties when the country still has nearly 5% of multidimensionally poor households, especially in ethnic minority communities and mountainous areas.
Since 2019, the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with relevant agencies and organizations has raised VND 230 billion to build and repair nearly 6,000 houses for poor and disadvantaged families in Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau, Hoa Binh and other mountainous provinces.
Minister To Lam hoped people would always preserve their traditional cultural identity and cement the great national unity bloc. He said that the successful building of the cultured family and village models will benefit all in both material and spiritual terms, while contributing positively to ensuring national security and building a prosperous and civilized nation.
* Previously, Minister To Lam joined a delegation of leaders of the Party and State led by the National Assembly’s President Vuong Dinh Hue to attend the Great National Solidarity Day celebration at residential group No 6, Quan Thanh ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.
